Houston Lipodissolve Treatment

About Houston Lipodissolve

While Liposuction is the only scientifically proven way to remove fat cells permanently, advocates for Houston Lipodissolve claim that it's a safe non-surgical alternative. Houston Lipodissolve is recommended for candidates that are close to their natural body weight. It's used to reduce "love handles" as well as fatty deposits upper and lower abdomen, thighs and upper arms. It's also effective for cellulite, stretch marks and scars. Some say Houston Lipodissolve can improve skin tone and elasticity, as well as increase the production of collagen, keeping the skin firm.

During a typical Houston Lipodissolve treatment, a specialist will inject a blend of chemicals into fatty areas and tissue. The injection is relatively pain-free and does not require the use of anesthesia. The medication initiates a chemical reaction in the body to dissolve small areas of fat.

Benefits from Houston Lipodissolve can generally be seen in about three weeks after treatment. Normally several treatments are required, four to six weeks apart, to produce expected results. Houston lipodissolve is an "In office" procedure, so there is no down-time or recovery period.

One note here: Lipodissolve is experimental. It is not approved by the FDA. Before beginning a Houston Lipodissolve treatment session, you should consult with at least 2 Lipodissolve specialists.

You'll want to:

* Review the doctor's credentials and education
* View before-and-after photos of patients
* Inquire about the ingredients in the medication used
* Ask for a number of the treatments which will be required
* Find out if you are a candidate based on your health condition

Houston Lipodissolve costs range from $375 to $1,500 per treatment. As mentioned, several treatments are usually required.

We are in the process of interviewing several Houston Lipodissolve Doctors, and will feature them in upcoming posts. Until that time, you may visit the Google sponsors to the right of the page. They provide local Houston Lipodissolve treatments and procedures.

Houston Curves, Information and Texas Loactions

OK, let's face it, you want to lose weight. The first and most important thing you should do is to sign up as a follower of this blog and subscribe to the the RSS feed (you had to expect a little self serving self promotion!) Seriously though, if you are a woman in Houston and you want to lose pounds AND inches, you will want to visit a Houston Curves location soon. Houston Curves did not sponsor this post, or pay me to write one word of this. In the course of running this blog I have talked to numerous women who related to me the impact that Curves has had on their workout routine, and especially their weight loss. Curves is a woman's only gym, that focuses on every aspect of weight loss. Curves works every major muscle group with strength training, cardio and stretching in just 30 minutes, three times a week. That's their program, and the Curves program works. The strength training aspect is important because a good muscle workout will keep burning fat long after the workout has ended. That, coupled with the cardio they offer, will boost your metabolism and set the stage for permanent and consistent weight loss. Curves unofficial motto is “no makeup, no men, and no mirrors.” This is important to many women who stay clear of the typical "gym" environment because it has the "meat market' reputation. If you want to be asked out on a date, go to a co-ed gym, if you want to get serious about exercise and weight loss in Houston, go to Curves.

My biggest influence for writing this post actually comes from a woman in Brooklyn, NY. She has lost 40 pounds in the last 5 months by going to Curves. And yes, Curves is not only nationwide, but worldwide. Since launching way back in 1992, Curves has more than 10,000 locations in over 60 countries. Curves is the largest fitness franchise in the world. That number is startling... What with 24 hour fitness, Golds gym, Lifetime fitness, and all the rest, Curves is still at the head of the pack. If you travel at all, your Curves membership is good at any location worldwide. The "women only" aspect is important in Curves success, but more this, the workout they offer is second to none. Curves’ 30 minute workout can burn up to 500 calories. And like I mentioned before, the muscle shaping part of the routine, insures that you will keep burning fat all day long, since your body is recovering and rebuilding your muscles.

DON'T WORRY that you are working the muscles. You won't end up looking like some female body builder (unless you want to) The curves workouts will tone, strengthen, and tighten. You'll lose weight AND inches, and you'll feel 19 again. Back to my friend in Brooklyn. She's 47 years old, and has been overweight most of her life. Although she was pleased with her figure (as were the men) because all her curves (no pun intended) were in the right places, the bottom line was, that she was fat. After dropping the 40 pounds and 31 inches, people see her on the street now and are amazed. One person saw her after 25 years and said "Oh my God, you look the very same." Well, had they seen her five months earlier (and 40 pounds heavier) they wouldn't have recognized her at all! She is now able to fit into dresses and slacks that have been hanging in her closet (Yes, she may need to update her style) for 20 years!

Again I will say that I have no relationship with Houston curves, or any Texas weight loss providers. I am a slightly out of shape blog writer, seeking to offer help to Houstonians who want to lose weight. This post is meant to offer information only the choice is yours. Call curves or don't. I'm just sharing :) I have listed most of the Curves locations that I could find in Houston, TX. They are at the bottom of this post. If I have missed one, please let me know. Likewise, if you have a Curve's experience and want to share it, let me know. You can post a comment or email me at nationwideblogs @ gmail.com

Houston Weight Loss Surgery

Houston Weight Loss Surgery Information and Guidelines.

In this post we will cover the following topics:
*Who needs weight loss surgery
*Types of Weight loss surgery
*Possible risks of weight loss surgery
*Links to physicians performing weight loss procedures.
*Tips to choosing a weight loss specialist in Houston.

First let's say, not everyone is a candidate for weight loss surgery. This post is not meant to promote the procedures in Texas, but to offer information and sound advice. We are also compiling a list of Houston weight loss surgery physicians. Instead of just random listings, we are in the process of researching various Houston weight loss surgery specialists. We will feature them in upcoming posts. In the meantime, you can visit our sponsored links to conduct your own research. Invasive weight loss surgery procedures should be viewed as a last resort, or a final option. Good old fashioned diet and exercise are the front runners to promoting weight loss. You should seek the counsel of a weight loss doctor, then a surgeon, and you should consult with family and other loved ones. Before you consider Houston weight loss surgery, get several opinions, from different specialists. Ultimately the decision will rest in your hands.

Here are some key's to becoming informed on Houston weight loss surgery.

In some instances a patient may be too obese for the surgery. For health reasons, it may be determined that they must lose some weight prior to the procedure. More often though, a person is not large enough to qualify for weight loss surgery. It's a serious procedure and can only be performed in certain instances.

Basic Weight Loss Surgery Candidates Guidelines:
* You have BMI of 40 or greater
* You need weight reduction due to medical necessity.
* You have attempted to lose weight unsuccessfully.
* You have been obese for an extended period of time.
* You are able to effectively care for yourself.
* You are serious about losing weight.

Types of Weight Loss Surgery

Vertical banded gastroplasty (VBG): In this procedure, surgical staples are used to divide the stomach into two sections. The upper sections is smaller, limiting space for food. Food then empties into the lower section through a small opening. A band is used around the opening, to insure that it doesn’t stretch.

Laparoscopic gastric banding (Lap-Band): In this most familiar procedure, an inflatable band is placed around the upper stomach to create a small pouch and narrow passage into the remainder of the stomach. This limits food consumption and creates an earlier feeling of fullness. The

Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RGB): The surgeon makes the stomach smaller by using surgical staples to create a small stomach pouch. The pouch is attached to the middle part of a small intestine. Food bypasses the upper part of the small intestine and stomach and goes into the middle part of the small intestine through a small opening. Bypassing the stomach limits the amount of food a person can eat.

Biliopancreatic diversion (BPD): A large part of the stomach is removed. The amount of food is restricted, in addition to stomach acid production. The small pouch that remains is connected directly to the final segment of the small intestine, completely bypassing other parts of the small intestine. A common channel remains in which bile and pancreatic digestive juices mix prior to entering the colon. This procedure is rare, as it restricts the nutrients from being absorbed in the body.

Risks of these weight loss surgery procedures include wearing away of the band or staple line. Sometimes stomach juices may leak into the abdomen causing additional complications. Additional complications may include nausea and vomiting, heartburn and abdominal pain. It goes without saying also, that a good diet and exercise are needed in order keep the weight off, and to keep the body strong and healthy.

Suggested Diet After Weight Loss Surgery
*Eat small meal after weight loss surgery
*Take small bites and chew food slowly and thoroughly
*Do not drink fluids 30 minutes before or after eating (or during the meal)
*Do sip on water throughout the day to stay hydrated
*Eat healthy well balanced meals. There is no room for junk in your small stomach
